Exploding into action, Arooj has scored a wealth of runs in the 3rd XI and also the 4th XI as required. It's a rare day when Arooj doesn't rack up a 50 in a couple of innings, and his wristy shots put all comers to the boundary.
Not the keenest of fielders, we knew Arooj had another string to his bow and so it turned out. In the last 2 years Arooj has come on leaps and bounds as a spinner and he has already grabbed a couple of 5 wicket hauls to go with his runs.
If we can get Arooj on the pitch for more than half the season in 2011 then the 3rd XI will be safe as houses.
