Nickname: 'Big Dave' and 'The General' Dave had his first taste of captaincy in 2006 since guiding young Watford boys into the unknown in his school days! A great club man, we have seen Dave play at every level for Rickmansworth and fill in gaps for all the teams whenever asked. His first senior knock for the club was 72 and high expectations have been piled on him ever since. His accurate medium pace left armers make him a scrooge of a bowler, whilst his resolute forward defensive is often seen. Dave could do so much better with a more aggressive streak, but he is one of lifes good guys and maybe we love him just the way he is. Due to his lack of general availability, and willingness to bat down the order, Dave has only just topped 500 runs for the club. But he averaged exactly 50 with the bat in 2010 and some more of that in 2011 would be very nice indeed.
