The Groundsman Blog

Ever wondered what goes on every day during the year at the club? What about a wet Tuesday in November, or a spring day in April. Well here is the Groundsman's blog, straight from Tim and his team - a diary of what is going on and, most importantly, how YOU can get involved....

Hi welcome to the blog from all the grounds team down at your club.
We hope to show you what goes on at Park Road when you lot are at work or at home sitting in front of the telly!!!

Work has already begun getting ready for the new season.  Both the squares have been cut and rolled with the spiked sarrel roller.. This allows air and light into the ground which will encourage growth.
Both squares have been sprayed with a worm repellent and the an early season spray to help with root development.

The outfield has been cut with the new rotary mower. This is driven by the tractor which has had major investment placed in it with an overhaul of the hydraulics and the power take off that allows us to use alot of equipment that previously was not available to us.

Please stay tuned over the next few weeks to see photos and gain more information about your cricket ground
